The award winning HELP for HEROES 4×4 EUROPEAN RALLY has raised well over £300,000 for the charity since its launch on Armed Forces Day in 2010. The event follows the path and tells the story of the WWII Allied Invasion through Europe. Allied Forces landed in France early on D-Day morning; 6th June 1944. The liberation of Europe had commenced; that history will unfold as our journey progresses. We also pass through the ‘Western Front’ of WWI.

The 2012 rally will start on 16^th June from Littlecote House Hotel, North Wiltshire. This 2000 mile family friendly non-speed touring assembly is a meander through 6 European countries over 12 days. With a maximum of 45 teams, it is a part military history tour (including War Graves cemeteries, historic sites, museums etc) and will include some fun challenges, off-road driving (on public roads as well as private land) and social elements. It is open to road-legal 4×4 vehicles. Serving and ex-military entries are welcome, as are civilians and families.

Summary: Day 1 uses byways on Salisbury Plain before we travel to Portsmouth for the ferry to France. After Normandy, via The Somme and Ypres, we head to Arnhem in Holland – Operation Market Garden. Then, south to Bastogne in Belgium – famous for the ‘Battle of the Bulge’. After visiting Alsace, France, we enter Germany and visit Dachau; with its horrors of war. We end our journey at Hitler’s “impenetrable” Eagle’s Nest at Berchtesgaden, Bavaria.

Na de meer dan geslaagde trial in Axel is het volgende event in onze nieuwe 4 fun eventlist de BOC 2. Op de vorige editie van dit event waren maar liefst 25 teams aanwezig, die allen genoten van een geslaagd event waarbij de diverse takken van de 4×4 sport aan bod kwamen. Het event kon dan ook op heel veel goede reacties rekenen na afloop.

Op 5 en 6 mei zullen wij opnieuw onze schouders onder dit fantastische event steken en er een weekend vol 4×4 plezier van maken. Place to be is net zoals vorige keer het technisch uitdagende terrein in Bertrix.

Het korte 4×4 Vriendenweekend. Minimaal 5 – Maximaal 10 auto’s. Een weekend met een stukje terreinrijden en een off-roadrit welke voor elke 4×4 en SUV te doen is. Het weekend begint op zaterdag met het inschrijven op de camping in Zeewolde waarna om 14.00 uur het terrein voor u opengesteld wordt. Het is geen zwaar en groot terrein wel met enkele leuke uitdagingen. En als het toevallig een beetje geregend heeft………Flevolandse Zeebodemklei laat zich niet zo gemakkelijk bedwingen. Om 18.00 sluit het terrein waarna u op de camping kunt deelnemen aan een (eventueel bij slecht weer overdekte) BBQ of zelf iets kunt broddelen. Er is een kampvuurplek beschikbaar om een fantastische avond te beleven. De volgende morgen tussen 12.00 en 13.00 uur start een niet al te lange off-roadrit over de Veluwe welke eindigt in de middle of nowhere bij een zeer gezellige uitspanning. Vanaf daar kunt u huiswaarts gaan. Gezien de afstanden en tijden is dit ook te doen met kleinere kinderen. Deelnameprijs komt op € 45,00 per auto voor terrein en off-roadrit, ongeacht aantal inzittenden, maar exclusief camping en BBQ kosten.

We will meet at a pre-determind location near Burbage ready to leave at 10.00hrs. We will spend the day driving on local trials including Salisbury Plain, a vast area of trails.

Some trails may be tight and bushes may brush the sides, there may also be deep ruts and mud, especially in the winter months.

This is our most popular trip.

4×4 Vakanties & Avontuurlijk Kamperen

Op zondag 11 maart 2012 vindt tussen 10:00 en 16:00 uur al voor de achtste maal de 4x4Vakantiebeurs plaats. De locatie is het Experience Island in Loon op Zand, een schitterende locatie die zich bij uitstek leent voor deze beurs.

4×4 vakanties worden aangeboden naar alle windstreken; van IJsland en de rest van Scandinavië tot aan Portugal. Van Rusland tot Ierland; maar ook Noord- en Zuid-Afrika. Natuurlijk zijn er ook een aantal 4×4-vriendelijke campings, waar je in de omgeving kan off-roaden. Van eenvoudig maar onvergetelijk ‘greenlanen’ tot aan expeditie-achtige tochten voor zwaar geprepareerde voertuigen. Voor elke 4×4 is er een passende avontuurlijke vakantie.

Ook is er alles op het gebied van avontuurlijk kamperen: van Off-road caravan tot tent-trailer; van daktent tot een snel opzetbare tent; van 4×4 Camper tot tent-tipi. Kampeeraccessoires zijn er in overvloed; van kookpotten tot outdoorkleding; van GPS tot waterdichte koffer; kortom alles voor een avontuurlijke vakantie met jouw 4×4.

Het roadbook heeft zijn startplaats in het Franse Sint-Winoksbergen (Bergues), u allen wel bekend uit de film “Bienvenue chez les ch’tis” http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bienvenue_chez_les_Ch’tis .
Het eindpunt wordt bereikt na ongeveer 150 km in de omgeving van het dorpje Rue, op een boogscheut van het domein Marquenterre.

The Spring Adventure is the first big outdoor Land Rover gathering of the year – and the biggest show of its kind in the north of England.

At the Driffield Showground venue in the beautiful East Riding of Yorkshire, you’ll find trade stands, an autojumble, arena action and club stands full of useful information and helpful tips!
